On Friday we went shopping and DC bought a small accessory.
On Saturday we had a day out with friends, doing various activities. DC took the accessory along, and was wearing it for most of the day. When we got home, accessory was nowhere to be found. DC checked all pockets, bag that had been taken out, my bag, and we concluded it must have been left at the activity centre. Contacted them to ask to look out for so we could arrange collection.
Sunday had another look around to no avail. We went out and my feet got wet so I left my shoes in the hall to dry.
Today DC still upset over loss of accessory.

I've just gone to the hallway to put on shoes to go out and the accessory is sitting on top of the shoes I wore yesterday.

This used to happen to me all the time when I lived in an 18th Century farmhouse.

DS2 was a toddler, and his shoes used to go missing and then turn up in a place I couldn’t have missed them. Something is attention-seeking SmileSmile

I do occasionally see movement out of the corner of my eye when I'm alone in the house. It's always felt very friendly and welcoming. I'm very happy we have the accessory back!

I’m pretty much woo critical (WC?) but there was an impressive story along these lines in a recent thread. Someone whose DH’s phone went missing in their nearly empty living room just after moving in — and then reappeared ages later, like months/years I think, on the rug in the middle of the floor, still charged Shock
