Broken Tv or ghostly goings on?

For the past few nights our TV in the living room has been turning it self on and blaring out loudly.

Last night it woke us up at 4 am and when my husband went down stairs to investigate the noise the TV turned off.

It then went on again at 6am and stayed on.

Both the remote controls were lying side by side on the sofa.

Any ideas what could be going on?

Ooooh ! Has someone programmed a timer on the tv by mistake ( if there even is such a thing )

Or someone else has a similar tv and insomnia and keeps switching yours on...

We get screen mirroring from some random up the road mostly you tube crap

@FossilisedFanny I thought about the idea of a timer but having looked at the remote I can't see how it could be done

@Tangledtresses I've never heard of screen mirroring! Sounds weird and a bit creepy!

Can you try unplugging it?

Have you googled the brand of TV and the issue?

It’s obviously a ‘thing’
