Anyone got any odd encounters around this area?

Was talking to my mate about Alan Godfey and the UFO sighting in the 80's .. Which led to me thinking that there is a strange atmosphere around that area, maybe because of the valley?

I was once driving through Weir and had a really weird overwhelming feeling of sadness - not for any particular reason.

I know Rossendale and Bacup quite well. I grew up visiting frequently and always feel as though I am going home whenever I return. I feel as though I have forgotten something important. It is obviously very familiar, but the sadness on leaving is a wrench. At least half of my ancestors lived there, I almost wonder if they're trying to connect with me. Either that or it's just a lot of happy memories. It is famous though for it's paranormal history, reaching right back to the Pendle witches. Wonderful place.
