Dreams coming true..

I have had odd experiences over the years, seen ghosts etc but in the last few years I have dreamt about friends becoming pregnant before they knew or told me. Then I dream about them and the gender of the baby before they announce it.. has anyone else ever had this?

Yes it happens to me quite often. I dreamt of both alan Rickman and David Bowie the night before they died, they just randomly were talking to me in my dreams.

I have a reoccurring dream about a hotel somewhere, I've been there loads of times with friends, family, husband etc in my dreams but I have no idea where it is

Oh wow. I wonder if you will eve come across this hotel in real life or a photo.

Yes I can imagine.....

It used to happen to me a lot as a kid. Not so much now.
I had a vivid dream of a plane crash, which was in the news the next day.
I also dreamt where the bodies of two missing children were and it was correct. Totally freaked my mum out.

Confirmation bias combined with the fact that most of us don't have a good grasp of probability applied to real life situations.

The vast majority of dreams don't "predict" real life events but we put undue weight on those few dreams which we can link to real life events.

Yes my grandmother came to me to tell me she was taking my grandfather that it was his time. He wasn’t even ill he was abroad on holiday and died a week later very suddenly.

I'm glad I found this thread as I've been having lots of events I've dreamt about happening. It's very very random things. When I write it down it doesn't sound much. For example, I dreamt last night that my friend started to crochet because her bed was itchy (she is very much not a craft type) and I text her to tell her as it was funny...she is now freaking out cos she started crochet for the first time ever last night cos she couldn't sleep and remembered she had some in some inherited items.
I have also had dreams such as a family member owns a commercial property, I dreamt that they had changed its use to a cafe and it was being painted blue and they were making hot cross buns but with the logo of the cafe on. Again, text the family member to tell them as it was so vivid...turns out they have a new tenant who has turned it into a cafe, currently painting it blue and they were testing our currant bun recipes the day before.

Things like this have happened throughout my life.

I am insane aren't I? My husband thinks I'm mad.
