I have this dream at least 3 times a week. My teeth literally crumbling to the floor, it's truly horrible. Can anybody offer a reading?

I get similar when v stressed or anxious. It is a symptom iyswim, imo. No reading needed!

Sort out your stress and the dreams will recede. #true

Yup, I dream this regularly. And the one where I'm in desperate need of a wee and every loo I find is either without a door in a public place or worse than the one in Trainspotting Grin

jenniuol · 06/12/2019 15:53

I dream this a lot too, it’s horrible.

Aquamarine1029 · 06/12/2019 15:55

I've had that dream loads of times. It's very common.

thistimelastweek · 06/12/2019 15:56

I get this. Not only do my teeth fall out but I have hundreds of them.
Class anxiety dream

thistimelastweek · 06/12/2019 15:57

Sorry, that's classic

Howgreenwasmyvalley · 06/12/2019 15:59

I get the loo one. All the loos are in the middle of town with no doors and when I get there I can't go. My car being stolen is another one, I look out of the window and it's just disappeared. I wake up in a cold sweat every time.

Pilipilihoho · 06/12/2019 15:59

Apparently, it signifies that you are holding back from saying something...

Xiaoxiong · 06/12/2019 16:15

I have the same one. All my teeth start rattling and jumbling round inside my mouth. It comes in waves, sometimes I'll have it a few times a week. I haven't had it in years...since I quit my old job, come to think of it...

ScreamingValenta · 06/12/2019 16:21

Yes, I sometimes have this dream - my teeth sort of expand, then crack and crumble.

I also have the loo one. My theory is that all the loos in the dream being unsuitable in some way (no doors, broken seats etc) is your subconscious telling you that now (i.e. in bed) is not an appropriate time to wee.

userabcname · 06/12/2019 17:04

Yes I get this! Also hair falling out- as in, whole ponytails not just strands. And losing my shoes while out but being bizarrely embarrassed about it and doing everything I can to avoid being seen barefoot. I think all of them are to do with anxiety / stress.

golddustwomen · 07/12/2019 23:02

Thanks all for the replies.
It's a horrible bloody dream isn't it !! I wake up in a complete panic.

Are you grinding your teeth in your sleep or tensing your jaw?

Jodie77 · 07/12/2019 23:12

Yes I dream this dream when I'm really anxious about something. I grind my teeth, so I worry about it during the day now as well. I think I think about my teeth at least 5x as often as I think about sex. I have never had a sex dream, but the dream where my teeth fall out, or I have too many, or they crumble, or they just aren't there anymore (as in just vanished) I have those dreams a lot. The other dream I have is that I've lost something or somebody. The worst one was that I'd lost my baby. I woke up and turned the light on and spent about 5 minutes checking my baby was ok. But I also dream about losing other things, like my phone or my keys or the magic wardrobe key to Narnia when things get a little abstract

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 07/12/2019 23:15

Nails and teeth are our weapons ,when they fall out it's us losing our ability to fight. Classic anxiety/ loss of control dream.

JoeyJoJoJunior · 07/12/2019 23:18

I have this dream too except I have retainers glued to the back of my teeth so in my dream my teeth fall out then just hang there cause they're glue on! I find it very frightening too

Kab30 · 07/12/2019 23:24

Masturbate too much apparently...lol x thats what i got told xx

overnightangel · 07/12/2019 23:26

I have this regularly too, read years ago that it’s a sign of insecurity ... which would fit perfectly for me so maybe there’s something in it

overnightangel · 07/12/2019 23:27

Its horrible waking up and instinctively checking your teeth are still there. I had braces as a kid so probably comes from that, still dream I have them even tho they were removed over 20 yrs ago

StCharlotte · 07/12/2019 23:30

I've had two dreams come true. One was a big news story a week before it happened and the other was my regular teeth-falling-out dream Xmas Sad

Besidesthepoint · 07/12/2019 23:33

I regularly have crumbling teeth dreams. I always thought that it was because my mum was always so paranoid about the state of our teeth because she was terrified of the dentist. It doesn't make any sense for me to be scared of crumbling teeth because I have really good healthy teeth and a dentist who has complained (jokingly) for the past 32 years (I'm 40 now) that he can't make money from people like me. So I dunno why. Maybe the dream explain thingy that I'm holding back might be an explanation? Although I am dutch and tend to bluntly say what's on my mind in any given situation...

Besidesthepoint · 07/12/2019 23:36

I've never had nail nightmares..... do others have them? I only have the teeth nightmares and having inch thick long black hairs on my legs.

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 08/12/2019 10:42

Nails falling out just like the teeth dream...awful!

30not13 · 08/12/2019 11:08

I used to have that dream regularly. Not since I left my abuser though.

I used to dream lots about needing to run but my legs not working or being heavy and running so slowly I ended up crawling. Again not for a long while though.

I'm happy now :)

Biancadelrioisback · 08/12/2019 11:40

I have this when I feel like I'm losing control of life. I also have a failure to fly dream where I know I can fly, but for some reason when I try I can only get a few inches off the floor and sinking
