The unexplained
Angels

Has anyone had experience of seeing angels? It's not something I've read about a lot, but my son saw 2 when my DDad died. I would love to hear any other stories

Sorry I haven't seen any OP. How did your son explain what he saw?
ineedabreakk · 27/07/2019 10:56
He was nearly 3 when he saw them, but didn't tell us until he was 7. When I asked him why, he said that it was him, me and his nanny in the room with the 2 angels, so he thought we had been able to see them too and knew they were there. He said there were 2, a man and a woman and they had huge wings that he thought looked fake!

How interesting! I often hear about children who have seen angels or spirits. I wonder if it's something all or most children can experience but somehow they grow out of it as they get older?

All throughout my careless twenties I have put myself in ridiculously dangerous situations and someone has saved me at the last minute.
I lost my wedding ring in the depths of sleep deprivation four months after DC 1 was born and I turned the house upside down looking for it, emptied bins, cleared out cupboards and all that. Eventually I pleaded to anyone "please, please let me find my wedding ring!" And it turned up 5 minutes later, next to the TV, a spot that I has first searched and repeatedly searched after losing it.
I was suffering from depression after my second Dc (I can see that now) and was in the kitchen one day and the kids were screaming and being a pain, and my phone started to play "in the arms of an angel" for no apparent reason - I actually cried with happiness because I was at such a low point it felt quite comforting.
My phone has never, ever played music randomly before or since.
I often feel like someone is 'with me' - just keeping an eye- I don't know if it's what I want to believe or if it's real but I always talk to my angel and say thank you 😊

@marciagetscreamed that’s so lovely and heartwarming.
I often feel like I have someone around, especially in difficult times.
I’d love it if my son could see any if they appeared to him

When I was 14, I had an episode of being incredibly depressed.
I was alone at my sisters house, chopping veg or something for my dinner, and thought it would be so easy to slit my wrist.
The doorbell rang, went to answer it, and it was a guy who was my sisters age who was known for being a player.
He asked if my sister was home, I said no, he started to flirt shamelessly with me.
I didn't take it seriously, but it did make me laugh, and it snapped me out of the funk ( it was a brief episode).
Later on, I told my sister that stopped in for her, and her jaw dropped. This guy had NEVER come over, ever.... my sisters bf ( now dh) wasn't keen on the guy ( he kept trying it on with my sister- seriously, the guy was such a player).
The guy ( my sisters friend) had a very healthy respect for my brother in law, and wouldn't go anywhere near my sister, never mind dropping round at the house she shared with her bf.
At exactly the time I was feeling suicidal.
Strange....

I read somewhere, perhaps on here that somebody believed in angels and was linked in with the Emile Sande song, Next to Me. I was going through a rough patch and although I am not religious, a natural sceptic, I bought a delicate bracelet with an angels wing, I liked the thought of a guardian angel. I put it on, and said, angel show me a sign you are real. I went out about 10 mins later in the car with DH. He put the radio on. The song was Next to Me....
Coincidence or a sign?
I also like robins, I find them comforting. When I am feeling down I say, angel show me a robin. Invariably I see one. I was on the way to the station this morning, feeling tired, grumpy, demoralised, and down there there is no green space, just a few bushes in front of an office block. Never see birds there. Today a bird flew in front of me and landed on the railing, and looked at me. Yep, a robin.
Probably a coincidence (hard hearted me would say) but I actually felt comforted. I would never tell anybody this in RL.

I've always felt like there has been an angel looking over my shoulder, in difficult times. Recently I haven't felt like this. I had a family bereavement and i wonder if my "angel" is busy with the more immediate members of family who are suffering? I would never admit any of this to anyone.
Years ago someone close to me had a son who was unwell. A stranger approached her and asked who the man was, as they said they could see 2 angels walking beside him. This was very upsetting at the time, but after her son died I think it maybe brought some comfort?

My dad died last year due to unfortunate circumstances I missed his funeral but grieved on my own. Can anyone explain the white feathers that keep appearing in my house? I like to think it’s him.
yellowsubmarines · 19/08/2019 18:02
I read somewhere that white feathers indicate angels are with you.
Elieza · 19/08/2019 19:07
My friends 3 yr old son kept taking about a white boy in his room. There was apparently nobody there and this went on for months. The mum would hear her son talking to the boy and laughing, and ask who he was talking to and he’d say the white boy (points to empty corner) oh he’s gone now.
They later found out the previous tenants son died.
