Dreams and dying

I wondered if anyone has ever had an experience like this?
A while ago I had a dream where I could see a guy I used to go out with. We fell out and had not spoken for many years. Occasionally I will have a dream with him in- it mildly annoys me that he’s taking up space in my head!
This dream was different, I could just kind of see his face and he seemed happy- nothing else happened or going on in the dream at all. I woke up and I felt lovely, really happy and just great, not quite like I’ve ever felt before. He died 48 hours later.

I've never quiet experienced that but didn't want to read and run.

If you don't mind me asking, what did he die of?

Sorry to hear that he passed. I find it very strange when I dream of people that I no longer really have contact with

Thanks for replying! It was a heart attack.
I’d see him in passing from time to time, but hadn’t for a few years, so no reason to have been thinking of him.
I’ve heard of people screaming of someone and they find out they died on that night, having a premonition of a person dying, but never come across something like this. The nice warm feeling was amazing.

So sorry to hear this @DucksAreTheBest. Yea I very much believe in all that, I feel like if somebody is/was a big part of your life then sometimes you can have premonitions. I remember when my gran passed away one morning I was lieing in bed and had the strong smell of perfume wasn't me for sure! Lasted that day I learned she had passed in her sleep

Sorry you lost your gran Tanya
I’ve tried google but not found anything similar - it’s always mor like a premonition or after someone has died.
