Spooky Bodmin!

I’m planning a weekend away in Bodmin. Booked at night at the famous Jamaica Inn and also going to Bodmin Jail. Both places are apparently haunted! Does anybody have any spooky experiences?

Yes! In Jamaica inn! We were walking around the museum there and I was at the back of the group, no one behind me and felt someone touch my shoulder. I jumped 6 foot in the air!

At Bodmin Gaol we kept hearing doors slamming in the corridors behind us which was very funny as the doors had been removed from the cells.

No, I don’t have tales to tell. But even on a beautiful summers day, driving in the road past Jamaica Inn is very weird. Barren and cold.

Several years ago, hubby and I both smelt tobacco smoke (not cigarettes, more like a pipe) in one of the gaol rooms, where no one else was present. Later, we were alone in the ruined part of the gaol (with no roof) and the exact same smell wafted past us. Very eerie. We revisited the gaol a few years ago and I got the most awful feeling of tightness in my throat. Sadly when we visited a couple of years ago, the gaol had been ‘done up’ and it has lost its eerieness.
