Pendulum dowsing

I have a friend who bases major decisions on pendulum dowsing. Important stuff like buying a house! The problem is that the predictions are often proved to be wrong. And yet she still does it.

I don't believe this works. Surely the person doing it subconsciously controls it?

I know it works for predicting the sex of an unborn baby. To and fro for a girl and circular for a boy. I've never been proved wrong yet

Hmm

I'm quite sceptical. The boy and girl thing - since there is a 50% chance of either then it's also reasonable chance that a dowser will give the 'correct' answer.

A while ago, some dowsers gamely participated in a double-blind experiment with Richard Dawkins. I think this is it...

Interesting!

I think the idea is the subconscious is meant to control it. That's the point

OutofSyncGirl · 22/04/2018 08:38

But if your subconscious is controlling it then it can't give accurate answers to questions like where there is a water leak surely?

Well apparently the inner conscious knows these things when we just tune in. I think water rods are slightly different to pendulum dowsing. I think.

Does anyone happen to know how many people were involved in that experiment with Richard Dawkins? It doesn't look like the largest "study".
