Miscarriage at 5.5 weeks

Hello, this is my first post.

I had my fears confirmed yesterday that I am having a miscarriage. This is the first time me and my husband have got pregnant.

I've had bleeding of red blood and period like cramps for the last 3-4 days. Last night I passed a few small clots. Didn't feel it, I wouldn't have noticed unless I'd looked in the toilet. My bleeding seems to be easing, and I've had diarrhoea twice (sorry if tmi).

I'm just wondering if there will be more to pass or if this is it. I know it's all a bit of a waiting game and every woman is different.

I'm due back at work on the 24th and I'm concerned that I may start passing more clots or have a heavy blood loss at work.

Can anyone offer any advice, as I saw an out of hours doctor last night but wasn't given any information or indication as to what to expect next. So I feel a bit like a sitting duck wondering if it's nearly over or if it's just about to start all over again.

Thanks in advance for any advice and comments.

When I've miscarried at that sort of gestation it's been quite little - kind of a heavy period

If you want children don't delay as after being pregnant often people fall again quite quickly ... don't delay unless doc says otherwise

Sorry for your loss 💜

DaisyBeth I hope you don't mind me saying this but I really think you ought to contact mumsnet team to move your post to a more helpful area instead of The Unexplained. 'The Unexplained' is mostly about supernatural phenomena and your post is so sad and worrying I wanted to make sure you knew that there are other sections of mumsnet that can help you.

Maybe the posters on the conception forum or the miscarriage/bereavement topic will be able to help you and support you.

Here is a link www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception or www.mumsnet.com/Talk/miscarriage.

I'm sorry to butt in like this. I hope you get the help you need.
xx LiquoriceWheel
