The unexplained
Do you think they're really there?
hickorydickorynurseryrhyme · 30/07/2017 18:30
Watching over us? I hope so. I lost my dad and I truly hope there is an afterlife so I can see him again.
Violetcharlotte · 30/07/2017 21:49
I believe so Hickory. I'm so sorry for your loss
I know many people think it's a load of old nonsense, but spiritual and truly believe there's a spirit world where we go back to when our time here's up. Here we're reunited with our soul group, so you should take comfort knowing that your Dad will be being looks after by those he loves.
Have you ever visited a medium? x
hickorydickorynurseryrhyme · 30/07/2017 22:15
Thanks violet Yes I have. I really do hope so.
hickorydickorynurseryrhyme · 30/07/2017 22:16
That is what I believe too. I believe we go home when we pass.
Onetwothreeoops · 30/07/2017 22:23
I'm fairly cynical but there have been times in my life when things have happened that have no logical explanation. I believe there is a lot more to life than we comprehend. Im as sure as I can be of this.
MumIsRunningAMarathon · 30/07/2017 22:40
What happened with the medium?
I don't believe,it's not logical......but then, mediums and experiences have existed for hundreds of years,so,I dunno

She told me someone in spirit was here and gave the name. Now if it had have been a common name I might have been sceptical but it wasn't. She said it straight away when we met so it knocked me for six.
MummyBtothree · 08/08/2017 15:29
Yes I do believe and have been fortunate to see and hear things that have enlightened me. I've got many photos & videos taken in our home with lots of beautiful bright spirit orbs. I even went to great lengths and asked Derek Acorah to help me make sense of it all.
BertrandRussell · 08/08/2017 15:31
"I even went to great lengths and asked Derek Acorah to help me make sense of it all"
Derek Acorah! You are being ironic. Please tell me you're being ironic!
MummyBtothree · 08/08/2017 15:41
Better to go to a spiritualist clairvoyant and medium for whatever your reason. I'm not asking for your opinion because I'm not interested in it so show a bit of respect to the OP
Heratnumber7 · 08/08/2017 15:41
I'm really sorry, but no I don't. Wherever "there" is would be awfully crowded, with thousands of years worth of people who have died vying for space "up there".
Unless we're all continuously recycled into different earthly bodies, but then the pedant in me would want to understand the processes for allocating souls to bodies etc
demirose87 · 08/08/2017 15:51
I think they are. My cousin died of sudden death ten years ago. Two years later I gave birth to my first DC and had a traumatic birth that ended up as an emergency c section and me losing a lot of blood. I was rushed through a corridor down to theatre, lots of medic's faces waiting for me and hers was one of the faces I saw. Saw her for a split second after I was put in recovery too. And my sister saw a woman with dark hair bending over my son's cot as he was crying.. she assumed it was me till she saw me downstairs. I like to think that was her.
LilaoftheGreenwood · 08/08/2017 15:58
I am the most cynical, rational person ever (and it's my first time on this board). In the last couple of years I have started to think that yes there is some kind of extra dimension to life. I have various reasons for this. I haven't actually seen anything myself. I couldn't say that it was a heaven or an afterlife exactly, or that people remain conscious souls after they die. It's more something to do with how time works. I don't think we're as separate from the dead as we've come to believe.
Sorry for your loss

Also I dreamt of one of my daughters before she was born, with said cousin. My cousin said its not her time yet but she will come when she's ready. It took me a year to conceive my second baby and I was feeling so down. But when I look at her now I know that was the little girl I dreamt about. Every time I get pregnant I already know because my cousin shows me the babies in my dreams.

I would share some of the lovely things I have got on photo and video but I know it would only attract the wrong reaction from some people which is a shame. We all have our opinions and beliefs and I don't like it when people question others and comment hurtfully
Thinkingofausername1 · 06/10/2017 18:17
I go through stages where lots of things remind me of my nan. I feel she is watching over me.
mrsRosaPimento · 06/10/2017 20:37
We all saw my grandma who had died a few years before my grandad(her dh,) just before he died. No one was there when he died as it was sooner than expected, in the night, so I hope she was there, as I feel heartbroken about it. I've also seen my grandad, same one and so has my cousin. We also get visits from our cats that have died.
So yes. Although I hope when my abusive parents die they can't come back. My grandparents were lovely and I don't know where I'd be without them.
RefuseTheLies · 06/10/2017 20:41
I desperately hope and wish to see my mum again, but no, I don't believe there's an afterlife. We cease to exist and that's it.
liz70 · 07/10/2017 00:04
For the past ten years, I've had frequent "visits" from a person who has passed over. They have made it perfectly clear to me that they can still "hear"and "see" everything here that they choose to. They've proven it to me by directly responding to things I've said to them. So yes, they're still here. I've not a shadow of a doubt of it.
