Caught on camera- what is this?

I have zero knowledge / interest in these things but would love to know what I captured on camera today.

I was away with work at a country hotel and went walking in the woods after breakfast.

I took some photos of the sun coming through the trees and noticed the obvious blue mark on the tree stump in the last photos i took.

I had a look on the tree stump to see if there was anything on it and took another pic and it was gone.

Then later when at home I looked at the pics again and noticed the same blue mark on the photos i took seconds before but this time on the ground.

When you zoom in it does look like a face and quite eerie.

Anyone have any ideas?

Reflected or diffused sunlight.

Have you heard of a phenomenon called pareidolia?

It's the name for our brains finding patterns. It's all to do with primitive humans needing to be aware of prey and predators, so out brains are programmed to make shapes out of random things. If a cave man saw a shadow that loooked like a saber toothed tiger, the ones who assumed it was a tiger survived- the ones who assumed it wasn't got eaten. It's why we are always seeing pictures in clouds and faces in puddles and all that sort of thing.

My father passed when I was 13 so I like to him think there is something beyond death and photos like this make me believe this is their was of showing us they are near, so I would think that if you have lost someone close to you they was there when you took these photos and they are showing you that they are close to you no matter where you go :) xx
