Babies see ghosts?

Hello, y'all! I've read somewhere that babies can see ghosts until they are like 1 year old, and that's why they cry "for no reason". Personally I think if this thing with being reborn and stuff is true, it's related to seeing ghosts at a very young age. Maybe when you die and then are born again you're kind of connected to your previous life and have visions of creepy stuff, or dead family members. It's kind of lame conversation but I want to know your opinion about this.
What do you guys think? What do you guys believe?

There's no such thing as 'ghosts'

And babies cry for a multiple of reasons.

They do say babies and animals can see ghosts, my ds always would look at something and laugh (in. A empty corner) used to freak me out, he stopped at about 2. I don't think it's to do with past life, it's apparently because they are 'open ' to it

My DS sometimes points to something/someone I can't see and says things like 'Hi Grandma', Here you go Grandma' (offering a crayon). Both his Grandmas are alive but one of mine (his Great Grandma) plus a couple of my Aunties aren't. It always makes me wonder what he can see that I can't.

We did have a freaky episode with dd1 at FIL's house when dd1 was 8 months. She kept staring at a pic of MIL who had died 5 yrs earlier and dd was named after, and then looking behind her and then looking at the photo and then behind her went on for about a minute and all the adults were a bit freaked out by it.

I don't believe in ghosts but when ds was a baby he used to 'watch' something on the ceiling and laugh. It used to really freak me out, especially when at night when dp was at work.

I don't think he could see anything, just being amused by nothing.

its mostly spirits they see. a ghost is more a previous short event caught in time being replayed.I think you are referring to spirit here. When reincarnated we are supposed to have our memories supressed so as not to interfere with our current lives but sometimes we do remember. I do believe our deceased relatives visit a lot and babies do pick up on it. I remember being told I creeped people out doing this as a child but god knows why they were creeped out as they all had visions of spirit.

My sister has a cat who always used to look into one top corner of their living room. When my nephew came along, she would find the cat and the baby staring into the same corner with the baby smiling.

I definitely think they have some sort of sixth sense at an early age.

In my daughters bedroom . We would see orbs???? On the video camera go over the cot . A second later she would be crying .. It happened a lot from 6 months until around 18 months .. I would see like a small flash then I knew she would wake . Used to freak me out . Never saw anything like it in my sons room and he slept a lot sounder .
I have no idea if it is relative to ghosts but I did think along those lines .. There was also a bolt lock on the out side of her bedroom door and a kick hole on the inside of her door .. It's always been in the back of my mind . I'm not in anyway a believer in the supernatural x

When ds was 2 I believe he was visited by my late mum who had passed away 8 years earlier.
He was a very good talker and would come out with all sorts of new words. I'd say "who says that" and he'd say XTeacher at nursery.
One day, in my bedroom, he was following me around as usual and started trying to say a word to me.

"Boooower loz" he says "what?" I ask.
"Burger logs" he tries again. I'm wracking my brains trying to figure out what he's saying.
"Burger lugs" he shouts at me proudly with a big grin
"Bugger lugs???" I ask
"Yeahhhhh!!!" He says with huge smile.
Now, bugger lugs is something my mum used to call me and my sister when we were little and I'd quite forgotten about it in all this time so it wasn't an expression used in our house, or anywhere else.
Instantly, I asked "who says that" expecting him to say X at nursery, but no, he answered straight back "grandma spaghetti"
And then toddled off to play again.
It gave me a wonderful feeling and I have no explaination of how it could of come about. He was never without me at that age - apart from nursery - so no family could have said it to him without me knowing.

Isnt the theory children and old.people can see things because they are closer to death? Eg, young children because theu are new and free from their minds being closed, and old/terminally ill people as they are on their way out?

I am usually very unwoo, but one incident made me a little more open to the possibility of the unexplained. A friend of mine died in a very tragic and strange accident when we were in our early 20s, so I won't post identifying details. She had given me a home recording of some songs she had written some time before she died. When DD1 was a toddler, some 15 years later, so plenty of water under the bridge, I'd found the cd in a drawer of old things, and put it on. Never having heard it before, DD listened intently and, after a while asked "Is she singing about when she... " and proceeded to say what had happened in my friend's accident which led to her death. I remember feeling this totally otherworldly sense of unreality; the lyrics bore no resemblance to anything associated with the accident, and DD was far too little to know that the person singing was in any way connected to me. It was as if she had picked up on a memory of my friend floating around in the ether, and vocalised it. Not quite a ghost story, more like a psychic connection, but still.

Is my kid mental, am I showing something they picking up on or is it a genuine ghost?

Your kid is not mental. Either they really see a presence or they have just subtly picked up on things they have overheard and built a narrative up around it. I am fairly sure thats a sign of intelligence actually.

Children hear, understand and remember much more than we think they do.
We tell our children much more than we remember telling them.
