Let's try Woo moments

I used to work in a hotel in the north of scotland where one day I was at reception (as I was a receptionist!) and a 60ish aged woman came up to me and said "she likes your stubborness." I asked who 'she' was and she said the lady at the top of the stairs (there was a gliding staircase). I had been in several arguments with the general manager at this point due to her v poor managerial skills (she left many years ago) and towards me leaving I learnt that there was a lady of the house type character that had hung herself out of the midfloor (gliding staircase) window upon finding out her husband had an affair with a maid.

The lady that said this said she quite often saw those of that side. I have never been "woo" but having worked there for 2 years previous and never hearing this story prior made me think it odd that this woman new all about it. I googled the hotel etc afterwards and nothing came up so it's not like she got her info from there (it was also at a time at the cusp of "googling" things).

Have you any similar? i've read my way through classics but could do with some more stories, on a major distraction this weekend Smile

God, I lived in a village where all the children died if anyone saw a woman in black. That wasn't wooo. That was friggin frightening.
