My parents 52 wedding anniversary is today.
May dad died 2.5 years ago. After my last sibling moved out, dad had moved his clothes into the wardrobe in that bedroom. So it has been over a decade since his clothes were even in the wardrobe in their room.
Saturday, my mother was cleaning out her wardrobe, which she always does each spring, so this is the third empty it completely type clear out since dad died. In the corner, she found a picture he carried in his wallet for 51 years, of him turning to kiss her on the cheek, the photographer caught her at the moment she notices the kiss. (It is more beautiful than any picture in their wedding album, to me.) There was no reason for this picture NOT to be in his wallet her bedside drawer. The wallet was never stored in there, or any of dad's clothes at all, for years before he even died.
