Creepy places

I'm going to keep starting new threads to get more traffic in this forum.

I love reading about creepy places. Stull, Kansas is a good one.

More locally to me is St Mary's Church, Clophill, which has all kinds of rumours about it (including some silly ones about why it was abandoned- it was just too small!). Some weird stuff did happen in the 60s with graves being broken into. If you go there in the dead of night, you may be unlucky enough to encounter some teenage goths snogging.

Anyone else know any good ones?

Also any catacombs such as the Catacombs of Palermo and the bone church prague. There is also another church in prague with a severed mummified arm with a very supernatural explanation

There is an abandoned Warner's holiday camp on the Isle of Wight - there are still tables and chairs in the dining hall and some of the chalets still have covers on the beds.

It is very overgrown, nature is reclaiming it slowly, but on a hot day by the stagnant swimming pool (complete with diving board) you can almost hear the distant shrieks from long ago children.

Clophill is quite local to us too. Went in the summer with the kids. Lovely sunny warm Sunday afternoon, just us there.... Well no, not quite. There was something about that place....

Berengaria Hotel in Cyprus. Abandoned and left to go to ruin.

Gartloch hospital. Proper creepy old asylum. Part of it has been converted into lovely flats but they are always on the market.

Google it and tell me you don't think it looks haunted, go on

Is clophill the one with the satanic graffiti inside on the walls? If so I think I went there back in my geocaching days.

There were a couple of woods in that general area that were far more creepy. One had a huge memorial to someone who'd died in the middle of it. Can't remember exactly were it was but the trees creaked constantly.

Storth Hall in Huddersfield is an old asylum. I know that creeps a lot of people out.
