Dd crazy about horses, I'm desperately allergic

Is there anything I can do/take? I take piriton + allergy nasal spray, and do not touch the horses, but I still swell up quite dramatically and find breathing v difficult, and am unable to drive us home again. Then have a subsequent reaction putting dd's clothes and coat in the washing machine. It is the only activity she has ever enjoyed, and goes when she sees her father (approx 3 times per year). I adore horses too, and would love to ride, but find it so difficult. Does anyone know any riders that have had similar problems in the past, and had good medication?

I'm afraid I don't know much about it, but I have just seen this. The bit that interested me was "you could enquire about de-sensitising injections which could be given over a period of several months and which may enable you to overcome your allergy completely.". Maybe you could make enquiries about that?

Oooh thank you. Am a bit spurred on by the bit saying that allergies should not stop people nowadays. I have other allergies, so they might be able to help with those too, yippee!

'spurred on' very good!

There is actually a breed of horse that people don't get allergic to here, but that's not much good to you really, just interesting.
