buying girl's riding clothes on-line (that aren't lilac or bright pink)

Does any kind person have any recommendations please?

There seems to be a bit of a gap in the market. Call me old-fashioned but I loathe all these pink and purply colours for young girls, particularly for practical riding wear. Neither do I want dd dressed up like she is entering a dressage competition.

Just looking for nice, plain-ish, practical, washable, fun fleeces and gilets etc

Any ideas gratefully received.

Robinsons?

Also apart from jodphurs look elsewhere for the rest too - Joules for polo shirts etc... or anywhere really I loved wearing rugby tops

Thank you Lady of W!

I'm abroad so didn't know about Robinsons - will give it a try.

Any other recommendations please?

Countrywidefarmers.co.uk is another one good for basics. Not sure about charges for P&P abroad though.

Thanks Owls - appreciate it - I'll take a look

Tesco's now do riding wear and they have plain cheap jodpurs and things if you are just looking for basics, also try joules/derby house/puffa/toggi. Most of the adult riding wear have kids sections

VinoEsmeralda · 19/04/2009 18:47

not sure if they sent abroad

no pink ones in sight

spicemonster · 19/04/2009 18:58

I always get stuff from Robinsons

AliceC- I'm amazed that Tesco do riding gear now - thanks, that's good to know. Will take a look next time I'm in the UK.

Vino E - that's a really useful recommendation - thanks. I'm just across the border in Belgium so I'm sure there shouldn't be a problem.

Spicemonster - thanks - Robinsons does look good - I'm awaiting a reply from them about whether they deliver abroad or not.

Thanks to all your replies it looks like I can avoid the horror of lilac jodhpurs!!
