hi everyone can you recommend a good website where i can find horses for sale?

Horsequest is the most well-known one but there are others and very often nowadays horses get sold on Facebook

Horse quest is busiest, but weirdly not that user friendly I find! Facebook is good but very time waster heavy

Horsequest, Equestrian Noticeboard and Whickr. The horses DD sells have been via Horsequest and that’s where she found both her competition mares. I found my horse from the Equestrian Noticeboard. There are a lot of ads on Facebook but the majority of people enquiring via FB are dreamers

How are people still selling horses on Facebook? I thought animal sales were banned?

@peppercornrent people just use emojis .. 👀 for new 🏡 or 4 ⛵️and then carrots for price - every now and then Facebook seem to have a crackdown but as they do absolutely nothing about the very obvious scammers they can’t be that bothered

There are a lot of scammers out there, sadly. Make sure that you never pay a "viewing deposit", as that is the most common scam right now.

I bought my new guy via horsequest but also looked on Preloved and FB. I was looking for a certain type so also checked the breed society's websites. Eg, fjord, haflinger, Icelandic, fell. Be sure to join one of the dodgy dealer FB pages just to check who to avoid...
