Looking at adopting a poor soul of a pony but have found out she had equine flu a year ago, along with the group of horses she was found with. Is equine flu something they recover from and move on or is it like strangles where they can be a carrier for it and pass it on later? Luckily our yard has never had either but obviously don’t want to risk our horses health if there is a risk. Google doesn’t help much! Thanks
