Hi all,

I am doing a bit of research.

my family are planning a beautiful rural horse holiday site, close to the Skegness coast. It will offer unique luxury 1 & 2 bed rustic stable style lodges, providing stabling, feed and individual tack rooms. Separate grazing paddocks, an outdoor jump and excercise ménage, and 4 horse horse walker.

It’s a short 6 mile drive to the Lincolnshire coast for beach rides, and on the edge of the beautiful Lincolnshire wolds for stunning hacks. we will also be offering 2x disability access units.

the village is a lovely rural village with a pub, and is only 2 miles to a great village with shops restaurants etc….. so a great place to take your horse , but also to have family time.

Would This be attractive to you horsey peeps ?😊

I would , but as I live in the SE it would be too far for me to travel ...

Would be great for me as I'm on the Notts/Derbyshire border. There is a place near Skegness where you can take horses. I went years ago and it was lovely, but it's gotten too big and busy now.

Only if I could safely get to good hacking straight from the accommodation, I wouldn’t want to travel somewhere and then have to box for the hacking.

WorriedRelative · 21/09/2024 20:26

I would want to be able to hack to the beach

HighlandCowbag · 21/09/2024 20:29

Yeah it sounds great in theory but boxing up from somewhere you have already boxed up to would put me off.

Loads of farm rides and beaches are accessible to anyone with transport already. The selling point of what you are offering would be tack up and go.

Skegness isn't a million miles from me, but you are competing with Field Farm which has the beach a hack away.

sunsetsandboardwalks · 22/09/2024 09:52

Can you hack straight from the property?

I wouldn't bother if you had to box up the horses and drive them as it kind of defeats the object imo.

Newuser75 · 23/09/2024 18:10

I wouldn't be interested in taking my horse on holiday and schooling/jumping although I'm sure many would. I'd be interested in the different hacking which I'd want to do straight from the door I'm afraid.

MmedeGouge · 24/09/2024 00:46

I would want to be able to hack straight from your property. I would only book if I could do that.
I’m sorry as everything else sounds great.
Good luck.

I found riding on the beach to be a bit overrated, but if you've lovely hacking straight from the yard I'd definitely be interested.
