‘Family Horse Survival kit’ ideas

I’m creating a ‘family horse survival kit’ as a christmas present. It’s a horsey Mum and dd(10) and non horsey Dad. So far I have 2 pairs of ‘brave pants’, Thelwell muck heap scented candle, ear warmers, a ‘How to stay sane with horse people in your life’ book… need some more ideas. Nothing too costly 😁

Thermal socks and gloves, head torch.

Gin for the adults, chocolate for the kids, treats for the horse....

Ibuprofen cream for the bad back you get mucking out

Box of matches for burning through any cash the horse doesn’t manage to get through. Seriously though all horsey people like a hipflask, preferably full of something strong. Sloe gin is a tipple of choice here. Also a couple of pairs of those cheap rubbery diy gloves - very useful, and surprisingly easy to lose/trash a pair all the time.

And if treats for the horse, my horses reliably tell me Stud Muffins are the one.

No idea what 'brave pants' are??

How about the following:

  • glitter gel for little girls pony
  • hoofpick (about £3)
  • horse treats (you can get Christmas ones)
  • head torch
