Fed up nobody to ride with and no transport

Just a bit of a moan. I'm on a lovely yard but literally nobody hacks. I have no transport (can't afford a lorry and can't tow a trailer with my car) and my horse is excellent hacking with others but really not safe hacking alone - I've worked lots on this but its just not enjoyable risking my life every time we try. So that means we're stuck only ever schooling or lunging and feel like it's really limiting enjoyment of my horse and really can't be much fun for poor horse to have so little variety. How do others cope in this situation?

I would change yards to somewhere where people hack out. On my yard the hacking isn't great so we often box off the yard to the local forest. I couldn't be on a yard where there was no-one to hack out with because the horses need it as much as we do, they go stale and there is no better form of exercise for them than walking up and down hills.

Either change yards or advertise on your local equine FB. group and see if there is anyone else locally that would like to meet up .

Advertise on local pages for someone within hacking distance or visit nearby yards. Also look out for others riding near you and have a chat with them.

I have arranged to meet people who keep their horses nearby but have no one to ride with.

Also work on getting your horse safe to hack alone, hacking alone is bloody wonderful! Do you have a partner friend or relative who would walk or cycle with you? Most horses are pretty good alone with a walker and you can build up to hacking alone. My horse loves going out with DH on his bike.
