Hi if you have two cars that regularly share the same trailer, how do you easily swap number plates on back of horse trailer, quickly and conveniently? Looking for easy fixes 🙈

Just unscrew the plate and fit the replacement in its place.
Takes a couple of minutes.

Is yours stuck on with adhesive tape so you can't do this????

Velcro

If you’ve got an Ifor Williams trailer the number plate is held on with a couple of swizzly things (technical term 😳) at the top - it takes seconds to swap it over - I often lend my trailer to a friend

This is the kind of thing I mean

Sorry I should have explained a bit more…A friend has an ifor and has said we can borrow hers regularly, but doesn’t want us removing her number plate. So I didn’t know if there was such a thing like a tow plate (as my spare number plate is a long rectangle, rather than a square…) that you can buy that is easy to do…

Honestly the easiest thing to do is get a spare square number plate for your car registration - I don’t think it’d be legal to have her number plate on as well as yours. It literally takes two seconds to swap over 🤷‍♀️

Use duct tape to fix one over the top of the other one temporarily if you don’t want to take off the original one.

Get a square number plate made, you’ll need your registration documents, If I remember, they did it onsite at the place I bought and had my trailer serviced. They also sold caravans and camping trailers, did it all the time.

then fit it over the existing one, or however you make it work for you. When mine bounced out somehow, my details were still in file, and they posted a new one on to me…

We have both number plates attached with cable ties to the rear horizontal bar on our IW501, one on the left one on the right. We literally just spin the correct one to be outward facing and the incorrect one to be inward facing (so not showing). Like the Countdown Conundrum kinda.
