As the title says really! Can anyone recommend a waterproof coat that will go over legs when she is riding? She is 13 and average height. Thank you.

Everyone I know who has the equidry loves it. I think they do a mesh summer one. They aren’t cheap but if looked after seem to hold value for resale

Thank you Lastqueen. Good point about resale, I'll have a look on my local selling pages too.

Drizabone are lovely , mine lasted for many years but they are ££

Stierna coats are fab. Very waterproof and very warm. They often have smaller sizes in a sale, I got one for DD who has bad Raynauds and must keep warm and dry when riding.

We have a fake equidry from neo equine. It’s was £60 and it’s fab and does the trick amazingly well

Thanks everyone, some great suggestions. I’m hesitant to spend too much as she’s still growing, but they are lovely!

Jack Murphy do some simpler, cheaper coats too. There is the Cotswald (3/4 length) and the Malvern (long coat). I have seen these new, but cheaper than the website RRP on ebay when I was looking myself.

Thanks @RainWithSunnySpells eBay is a good idea! I think one of those coats would suit me for walking the dog.

I second the Equidry. Worth it if she’s riding regularly. Get the lighter weight one as she can always layer up in the very cold months (I’ve never needed to though).

I got dd a gorgeous Stierna raincoat - she’s tiny so her size was on sale at a very reasonable price. She likes wearing fitted styles so things like the equidry don’t appeal at all. It’s too nice for doing yard jobs in but perfect for riding
