Qs about the Longines Grand Prix in Chelsea

I have tickets booked for the Longines grand prix on Sunday and I am very new to going to these kinds of events so have some qus. I have contacted the customer service folk but heard nothing back so I was hoping more experienced / knowledgeable MNers could help me.

I have booked a family ticket in the Grandstand but I can't see any allocated seats. Does anyone know if we will have seats booked together or will we have to show up and try to find four together?

Also, does anyone have any tips on dress code or any other tips for the day?

Thanks hugely in advance Flowers

Unless they’ve changed things the grandstand doesn’t have allocated seats so you can come and go throughout the day but for the big classes it might be tricky to find four seats together - it’s a small setting so nowhere has a bad view. We always spent quite a bit of time watching the warmup arena. Shopping is a bit meh - lots of incredibly expensive Italian designer gear but not much else. There’s no dress code but there’s not much cover so if it’s pouring with rain or very sunny be prepared. Food is expensive and there are long queues but I don’t think you’re allowed to bring your own refreshments in. We always used to enjoy it as it was one of the few events we could get to by public transport (we’ve since moved) and because it’s a relatively small area you get a great close up view of the jumping.

That's really helpful - thank you!

Quick update Pleasedontdothat , we had a fantastic time - and your point about not allocating seats was great as we turned up a couple of hours before the main event so we got four seats together at the front. Thanks!
