Is there somewhere like Talland or Wellington in the north?

I've recently moved and live on the Scottish boarder. I used to regularly have private lessons at one of the above with one of their senior instructors on their advanced dressage school horses. I love living up here but miss being able to ride at this level with that level of tuition. Is there anywhere in the north or England or in Scotland like Wellington/Talland that does lessons? I know the Yorkshire riding centre has long gone can't think of anywhere.

How about Ian Stark’s place - that’s in the Scottish Borders and he’s got masses of experience teaching top-level
eventers

There isn't one that I'm aware of. I did all my BHS training at YRC, it is a big loss.

There is a centre with Spanish horses in north wales but sounds like you are further north? The lady who used to run Wrea Green near Blackpool would qualify as an advanced instructor but don’t know what horses she has.

How far would you travel? Tori Peter is north Manchester.

Ps actually not sure if she has her own horses but can ask her for recommendations

Ingliston is quite a good centre - not sure if it's near you?

What do you mean YRC has long gone? It’s thriving, even more so since CB became GB coach! Whether they still do schoolmaster lessons I don’t know. Why not phone them and ask?

Probably not far enough north for you but there is also Ingestre in Staffordshire run by Tim Downes FBHS

Website says:

Lessons can be taken on your own horse. We regret that we no longer have riding school horses or ponies for hire for lessons.

They no longer do riding lessons on their own horses, only on your own horse
