What are you paying for part livery?

Nice yard. Large indoor stable. Nice ménage. Good turnout. Not much hacking.

We've just been told 5 day part livery is going up by £75 pm from July to £470.

This is purely for stabling and care. Hay, shavings and feed are on top.

Does this sound reasonable?

I want to have some facts before speaking to them.

Part livery is £380 at a big yard in the south west with indoor/outdoor arena, good hacking but limited turnout in winter. £460 for full livery. Are there other options near you or are you tied? £75 is a lot to hike up prices by. Surely hay hasn't got that much more expensive?

dogrilla · 25/05/2022 20:01

Oh, just seen that doesn't even include hay. Ouch!!

BerylFeatures · 25/05/2022 22:17

There aren't too many options nearby and my boy is very happy there. But I just think they're taking the piss. It's an increase of over 18%.

Thanks. Everyone on the yard is in uproar so we'll see what happens.

West Yorkshire. Pay £50 per week DIY, outdoor school, good hacking, limited winter turnout, includes hay and shavings in winter. 5 day livery is £350 per month.

Hmmm I'm
Paying 320 PCM diy but with hay and straw

I'm in Oxford and the average for part livery round here is the £500-600 which includes hay/straw and the usual full use of facilities etc. I'm in an expensive part of of the country though unfortunately.£75 is a steep price hike!

£750 /month in Surrey for hay / straw and feed. Turn in and out, muck out ... shavings ( if you want them) are extra. Big yard, indoor and outdoor school. floodlights; reasonable hacking, little road work.... excellent turnout ...

DistrictCommissioner · 27/05/2022 22:19

£80 pw full livery in the SW.

£100 per week South East. Nice big stable, plenty of daily turnout in winter, overnight in summer or restricted on track if required, hay (soaked as required), feed and bedding included, riding or lunging twice per week (Tues/Thurs). Sand school and lunge pen. Reasonable hacking but some road work necessary.

XelaM · 05/06/2022 14:09

£115 per week all-in for a huge stable and daily turnout. It's such a dream compared to the £1400 per month I have been paying previously at a different yard. We're in London.
