Riding tights or jods for riding in Spain in May?

I'm going on a riding holiday in Spain, this time with a mix of hacking out and lessons, I need new legwear, should I get riding tights or jods to cope with riding in the heat? I'd like a phone pocket but my phone is quite big so one with a zip or flap so it can't fall out on a canter. Any suggestions?

I've looked online and there are a bewildering number of options.

Also gloves. I always ride in gloves, but need summer ones that are not going to make my hands sweaty.

Leggings. I hardly ever ride in jods at all these days
Ariat do a very lightweight glove. Think it’s called cool grip?

Thanks @Lastqueenofscotland2 I've ordered tights. I'm umming and ahing about gloves. I have my beloved string ones. But they are so old and baggy, they are due for the bin, I have a pair of summer gloves that I cut the fingers off because they were still too hot. Maybe I'll ride gloveless, it just feels odd.

Roeckl gloves are lightweight- good all year round

I’ve got some Ariat air grip gloves which are nice and cool - I wouldn’t want to ride unknown horses on holiday without gloves as you don’t know how strong they’re going to be/if they’re going to snatch the reins etc and you really wouldn’t want to have blisters for the rest of your holiday.

I’ve just bought a couple of pairs of the ariat eos riding tights. They are really lightweight. They have deep phone pocket, doesn’t have flap or a zip, big enough for my iPhone 13 pro max

Look up crystal equine on Facebook. They do really nice lightweight leggings with silicon seats for about £26.
They have big pockets, not flap ones but hold my large phone in fine for schooling and hacking.
Gloves depends on reins, if they have western style rope type you would be fine without

Horseware summer riding tights. They have a mesh panel and are the coolest and most comfortable tights I’ve worn for long hot days in the saddle, and have a thigh pocket that fits an iPhone.

Blackhearts are my daughter's favourites. They have lightweight leggings with very deep phone pockets (her iPhone13 fits well and never falls out even when jumping)

Thanks all, I'm going to Google those tights and I bought a pair of Roekl gloves yesterday. I agree re riding strange horses without gloves, I really don't want blisters.
