Can anyone recommend any decent knee high socks with a cushioned sole that actually stay up and don't keep falling down?

I've been wearing the WW Bambo Long Riding socks which used to be ok but not any more.

The amount of times my blooming sock has slide down and nearly come off my foot in my welly is driving me bonkers.

Look at long hiking socks instead. Cheaper and better quality than horse brands!!

My mum buys me long cushioned socks from the local pound shops, Home Bargains and the like. They are fantastic.

Merino wool hiking socks are what you need!

Bridgedale are an excellent brand.

Are you sure it's your socks and not your wellies? Reason I'm asking is because I treated myself to a nice pair of Aigle Parcours wellies, everyone raves about them. I bloody hated those things, they had a rubber heel lining which would grip your sock and pull it down. Switched to a different brand of welly and never an issue since, I think the only time I've had a problem is when the sock has been too loose anyway!

This is my second pair of Aigle neoprene lined wellies, first pair I had 9 years, this second pair I've had a few years.
The sock issue is fairly new, and they start falling down even with other footwear, just don't try and wiggle off my foot like in the wellies.
I think first stop is to try some new socks.
