Help me oh wise horsy MNers! It’s been over 30 years since I needed age 5 jodhpurs so I’m a bit rusty on kids’ stuff - what are the best, reasonably priced brands or sites to buy jodhpurs, boots, hat for a very pony-mad 4 year old boy? He’s very tall and skinny, with quite big feet, if that makes a difference! Thank you!

For that age I’d go for decathlon. Decent quality but cheap so won’t break the bank to replace when they grow like weeds

Decathlon or some tack shops have second hand areas which is great for kid's riding stuff.

Do not go to decathlon for his hat.

We got boots and jodhpurs in Go Outdoors. Haven’t yet taken the plunge on a hat, he uses one at the riding school.

Depends how much kit you need. I'd go to a tack shop, many now compete with ebay so prices are reasonable and that way you can try on and find what size he is.

Then if you need a fair bit (ie own pony) I'd try Ebay or FB market place, kids stuff comes up all the time and from (bitter) experience they ride in the summer, jack it in in the winter and then you have a load of hardly worn stuff that no longer fits when the weather picks up.

Hat definitely fitted at a reputable tack shop. And I always try and buy second hand jodhpur boots as they are quite stiff from new (also bitter experience).
