Should I be worried about the way she's standing

We've had my daughter's new pony for around 6 months now. She's perfect, nice and forward and they are getting on really well.
I've just noticed that she never seems to stand square, she always stands with her back legs spread out or one stretched out, it can be either leg. She's completely sound so I'm not sure it's it habit.
I'm going to get my physio to look at her but just wondered if anybody had any experience of this.

Are her front and back legs in line ? so if you stand behind her is the stretched out leg just going backwards or is it stuck out to one side ?
I would say if its just behind her so in line ( more or less ) with her front leg and as you say she is sound she will be fine , its just a comfy way to stand . much more worrying if she does it with the front leg though ,

My daughter's mare rarely stands square behind - think she's just more comfortable that way. If you look at ponies standing out in the field / tied up, they rarely do. I wouldn't be worried unless there are other issues.

Horses rarely stand square behind. If you want to look at them square, it can take a bit of moving around to get them there. The only horses I know who will stand square behind by themselves are advanced dressage horses.

Has she been show trained? My Arab mare stands like this because I've trained her to (she was shown as a youngster)
