Getting back into riding
Lily715 · 14/04/2019 22:27
Hi everyone!
I started riding at about age 10 and last rode when I was about 16/17.
I used to love it and would really like to get back into it.
What's the best way to go about it? Also can anyone recommend good sites for riding stuff? I don't think any of my old stuff will fit me now
Thanks!

Speak to a well regarded /abrs riding school. Book an assessment lesson and go from there.

My advice is go for it . My dsis and I have just had a 1/2 hr lesson , she hadn’t ridden for 20+ yrs and I hadn’t ridden for 18+ yrs . It was fantastic and it all came flooding back to me ( we have always had our own horses / ponies ) and I had the horse working in a reasonable outline and we even had a canter .

Try a few different riding schools before you settle on one.
Also Decathlon are good for cheap but decent riding clothes! Sometimes can get cheap jodhpurs in Aldi, too, and they're good! Find a proper fitter though for getting a hat (and body protector, if you want one).
