Where to learn to ride in Essex?

I'd like to try riding for the first time (I'm nearly 40!). Does anyone know of a centre in Essex that would offer lessons to adults? I'm an average size and weight (for an adult!).

Which part of Essex are you? I can think of about five good ones.

Thanks! South-East Essex. I could travel to, say, Woodham or Southend and it wouldn't be too far for me.

foxhounds in Orsett should be fairly close, they do individual lessons but they also have friendly group lessons for ladies aged 30/40.

or erm any age probably :-)

Shopland in Southend, or Ragwood in Thundersley would be worth a call.

I rode at Shopland Hall (about 15 years ago) and enjoyed it there. I hope its still good.

Thanks everyone, it looks like I have a few options then!
