Horsey Christmas presents for 6yr old daughter

Hi

Title says it all really. Have a pony mad daughter and trying to get some inspiration for horsey Christmas presents. Think her dream would be a pony waiting for her in the garden delivered by Santa, which sadly isn't possible. She has some little horse figures and couple of children's pony books. Anything else anyone can think of?

DD got the Ponyopoly game when she was 6. It's a simpler version of Monopoly, but with ponies. She loves it!

Does she actually ride? If not, could you get her lessons, or proper jodhpurs/boots? Lots of stables also do 'your own pony for the day' where you do grooming etc, which she might like. Or how about sponsoring a rescue pony? Redwings horse sanctuary does that, and they also sell a whole range of horse-related gifts.

I was just about to say Redwings - the do loads of toys, mugs, calendars etc that she would love.
I loved reading horsey novels eg Saddle Club, Jinny and Shanty when I was little. They are probably dated now but I'm sure there is a more modern equivalent.
What about a subscription to a children's pony magazine?

She does ride every other week and we are going to get her some new jods, just wanted something fun as well. I shall go and have a look around the websites suggested.

I second Utterly Horses - has been our first port of call at Christmas since DD was 6. She loves her stables, ponies, jumps, kit from there. Real specialists and will give you good advice if you call them.

Ponyopoly is really good for that age as mentioned as well.

Lots of series of pony books - DD loved the Pony Club Secrets books but maybe wait a couple of years for them.. Have a look on line for different series you'll find loads. DD didn't like the Pippa Funnell series but loved most of the others - particularly the ones written in Diary Style.

What about lessons? If she's having these already then what about some kit for her - a new helmet, body protector, chaps, whip, boots?

Also the Bruder horse transporters and figures are great (don't think Utterly horses stock those)

All mine had them from about 5 or 6.

Our kids all loved the Sheltie pony books. Also a grooming kit of her own in na wee bag that she can take to brush the pony she rides. I had a book once froma charity shop which was all pony quizzes
