Jumping question

Dd has just been for a week's riding holiday which she absolutely loved and has done lots of jumping - she got a clear round in the end of the week show and was happily jumping 3'6"

Her usual riding school is very good but quite conservative - she's got a jumping clinic this week which from previous experience will probably culminate in a very simple course of about 3 jumps and nothing higher than about 2'

I know this is going to feel very tame for dd - should she say anything to the instructor (we have video of her jumping) or should she just concentrate on the basics and make sure they're perfect?

Does the usual riding school have any ponies that are capable of jumping a course at that sort of height happily?

To what extent was your daughter riding the pony round the course on the holiday or was the pony doing it all for her?

There's one pony which is very good at jumping - the other jumpers are quite big horses and really too big for dd

I suspect there was a bit of dd pointing the pony at the jumps and him just getting on with it so he probably made her look better than she actually is but I think she's now capable of more than what she was asked to do at the last jumping lesson she did at the school

I don't want to be pushy but equally I don't want her pootling around being bored at vast expense!

If the lessons are teaching her technique, shortening and lengthening strides, collecting the pony underneath her and so on then she shouldn't be bored (although depending on her age the wow moment will be a big motivator). Could you see about a private jumping lesson on the capable pony? I can imagine they might want to see what your DD can do before just hoiking the jumps up and will not want to risk causing a problem with a good pony if it turns out DD's technique still needs improvement.
