So since my last post i've had a couple more lessons (For anyone who didn't read it, i've ridden for 11ish years, two of them western, neglected my english, then had a year out completely due to pregnancy, and recently got back into it, started having private lessons in a riding school about 6/7 weeks ago).

I rode a different horse as i took a fancy to him. Lovely coloured cob type, But not a typical plod if you know what you're doing. Really pleased with the last couple of lessons and today i cantered pain free, but not only that, It felt a lot more like what riding 'should' feel like - Much more incontrol, lighter in the seat and the hands, not too much flapping around. Felt perfectly controlled and able to work properly whereas the first ffew times back on i had been feeling very out of control and unbalanced and like i was bumbling from one thing to the next. SO frustrating when you know what riding should feel like and you know you Were capable lol.

RI was very pleased, i'm very pleased. It feels good to feel like i'm riding again and not just sitting on a horse haha.

Anyway, i've decided that what i'm going to do is carry on with the private lessons for around a year, look at our financial situation and decide what to do. I'd like another horse, but i want to be in good shape riding wise, and confidence wise in the english saddle (Western i'll do anything, but as i neglected my english i'm not as confident there as i used to be, but the lessons are really helping there).

So we will see what i'm up to in a years time and hopefully i can have my own again :)

SO very happy today :D
