My dd1 is having her first riding lesson tomorrow. I'm very excited! She has a pair of jods but no proper boots. As she needs a heel, the choice is between her willies with slight heel and a pair of bright red patent dr Martin boots which have a more pronounced heel.Smile

Am not sure they are appropriate though!

Which is best? Ps she's only 5

I think as tomorrow is for first time they will keep her on the lead rain anyway, just go with what she's comfortable with.

When she has the bug (ooh anytime after tomorrow!) invest in a proper pair of riding boots. Look at the Loveson brand they are fairly reasonable for little ones whose feet grow so quickly anyway. Or maybe ebay?

Many riding schools have boots and helmets that you can borrow for the lesson. I'd check with the school to see if they have any first.
