I hear Steve Banting in Claygate Surrey has set-up as a freelance instructor. We have our own pony and our daughter's lost her confidence. We've heard he's the man for the job - any thoughts/experience out there?

Steve was my instructor for many years when I was a teenager (so 15+ years - that makes me feel old!).

He was good - the right mix of learning but also keeping it fun. He was my instructor after I had a bad fall and hadn't been able to ride for a few months after a broken arm. I almost didn't get back on but after a few private lessons with him, I was soon back riding.

He really was a great confidence giver - gently pushy but knew your limit. I always used to walk away from his lessons smiling and feeling like I had achieved something!

I honestly can't think of anything bad to say. I had fun, my riding developed and so did my confidence especially after my fall.

Aww I feel all nostalgic now!
