So, after having a shitty start to the year I have come to the conclusion that I'm actually smitten withy girls.

The most recent addition came to me with dead looking eyes & didn't really care much for people. 3/4 months later she's like a different horse, pulling her prettiest faces for me, prancing round the field like she owns it & a bit of a handful (out of enjoyment) to ride. I'm so chuffed with her :-) to think she was in the knackers yard ready for the meat man!

Hands up!
My little boy (actually my daughter's youngster, who I look after) is just scrummy. He is only 12.2 so no chance of me riding him (without loss of a limb maybe) but I treat him a bit like a big dog. We go for walks in the woods and I cuddle him (a lot). He doesn't answer back, doesn't behave like a total prat and is always up for a fuss and cuddle. He comes when I call him so is much better behaved than my dogs, kids and husband! I luuuuurrrrve him!

My little one is a bit like that. She's a shade under 11h & fab. She always squeels at me the minute I walk in the barn 'im heeeeere feeed me' doesn't help she's terrified of everyone & everything so having cuddles with her is extra special!

The pair of them are just awesome :-)

Yep, in love with my mare as she's taken to putting her nose between my arm and body for a cuddle. DH and his mare are ridiculously devoted to each other and spend a lot of time snogging Grin Their reunion after she'd been at the vet hospital in Liverpool for a week was very emotional

I love dshetland the best. She is the cutest, sweetest, best behaved, cuddliest little mare you could ask for. It also makes me laugh when she has a canter around and her little legs are a blur like something out of a cartoon. Smile

Me too, I think my big cob has been passed around a lot and had lami not long after he arrived so just saw me as the person who kept coming in to touch his hurty feet and give him funny tasting food. Now he's better and he's realised Im a goody and he'll come over and lower his head for scratches and strokes and follow me round the field Grin

I'm a bit in love with dd's mare- because of the delight and confidence she has given my precious child......

Ahh, lovely soppy pics seeker. What a nice pony (and what a lovely looking girl)

WillowKnicks · 25/02/2013 10:36

Hands up here!!
Every time I do anything with her at all &/or ride her, I think I have the most perfect horse (she is for me anyway) & feel a little bit smug. She has THE sweetest nature, so genuine, placid & laid back & I feel totally safe on her.

DDs pony on the other hand, is stubborn, greedy & pulls some very grumpy faces...pretty perfect for her then!!! Grin

Me too! We have five altogether and I love them all !
