Do you wash new items of clothing separately?

Do you wash new things on their own for the first wash? Just asking as i have read you should do this on many occasions and wondering if i should be doing this?

Yes. In case dye comes out etc

What cycle do you use on your machine to do this? My machine only has a hour quick wash.

I have a 15 min super quick. And another that takes 45 mins. Both fine former stuff depending on what it is.

How about delicate items, how do i go about washing these separate for the first time?
