I have a pony on part share, who is great for me as a real confidence giver. She originally came from a trekking centre and is completely safe to handle and to hack out alone or in company.
However, probably due to her trekking background, she is not great in the school, just in terms of being quite hard work and it's hard to get much out of her, so hard to concentrate on things like canter work as she is very lazy in the school so it takes all my energy to keep her going and I struggle to work on other things such as position etc.
I want to book some lessons, and not sure whether to book some lessons on my loan pony with the on-site instructor to see whether I can get more out of her, or do you think I should book lessons at a riding school on different horses?

I think you need a combination of the two things - school lessons to help you, and lessons on the loan pony to work together
