Been a few times, but this time I'm in a really bad inflammatory arthritis flare. Really don't want to give it a miss though, it's an utter highlight of the year for dd.

Fortunately we have member badges this year for the first time. What is the members area like? Is there somewhere quiet for me to wait while dd shops? Does it have loos up there? (Queuing is really difficult for me just now) is the restaurant worth booking, or is it astronomical in price with slow service?

Where else might I be able to rest or find quiet loos? Normally we just squish into a space by pizza express and have that for tea.

Very excited to be going again, but massive trepidation this year.

Thanks :)

We went on a coach trip last year and were given members badges which we had to show when we wanted to go upstairs to get to our seats. To be honest I didn't see much apart from the backs of the posh boxes and lots of trollies of lovely food being delivered (was too busy shopping in interval) so I can't be much help there. However I can confirm that there are loos up there and they were much quieter than the mayhem below Xmas Smile.

I nipped out to the loo when the show was on rather than during the interval and I was only gone five minutes. There was no one else in there.

We're going next Sunday and have Member's badges. In truth we only use them to avoid the queues for the loos downstairs (and you can use a lift). There is a champagne bar etc if interested - where you can get a view of the ring.

We just tend to either sit in our seats or shop. We've tried going on the train but it's a real faff from us so will be driving and parking in the NCP next door - pass already bought.

Can't wait - especially for the M&Ms where we've got friends riding and DD has ridden one of the qualifiers.

Awe, that will be lovely for you :)

So the best bit about the members bit is the loos?

I've been trying to find an online menu for the restaurant. There's no way I'd consider booking without being able to see how much it costs and what they've got!

I've never been to a champagne bar Grin

I think I'm just going to have to find a quiet spot and let dd loose.

Ok, we'll I discovered the members loos are the same as the ones where you go up the stairs at stand 16!
But the champagne bar does do a half decent sarnie with a proper table to sit at and you don't need to drink champagne.
Oh, and dd and I were on telly Grin
