Hi has anyone on here got a show jkt they would like to sell to me ? I don't want to spend £40 on a new one just incase he gives up!! Either tweed, blur or black he is a small size 5/6!! Thanks

Have a quick look on Ebay. You can buy new ones for less than 40 quid for a Cotswold or Mears. As regards colour what type of pony/class is he doing on Sunday? You may as well get the right one as plenty of choice.

Nip down to the nearest school uniform shop and buy a blazer. Asda or /tesco had them. You picked the right time of year!

You need tweed for a small child generally, unless affiliated showjumping. (although I know nothing about showing) GD had a black show jacket she wore twice (only times we got as far as bsja), whereas tweed took her everywhere.

Well done Nina - sure it will be a good choice. Tweed is the way to go unless you're show jumping, dressage or riding show ponies.

Bit late I know - but if you are looking for qualify children's show wear, try a website called Horse Gossip - lots of stuff on there. If you keep it reasonably clean and in good order, when your child outgrows it, you can sell on for the same price. So far, my son has gone though 6 show jackets and each time I have got my money back so definitely not a bad investment!

For showing, tweed jackets are correct, navy for evening performance or if you have a show pony. Black jackets are not correct for any form of showing.
