Returning To Riding Which Boots?

I am about to start a six week returning to riding course but have not ridden for over 25 years so a bit unsure about what boots to buy as there is a lot more choice nowadays!

I don't mind short or long but don't want to spend much to begin with in case I am too scared and don't continue with it. I am short so can't wear boots too long in the leg as they would cut in. What would you recommend?

Short boots - I've got Dublin everyday ones which are v reasonable price and are lasting well

I wear short jodphur boots something like this, with half-chaps like these but in black. The half-chaps are because my riding instructors suggested that they would help with my leg position. I haven't bought from this website myself, but other folks on here have recommended them.
