We have owned Dpony for a year today.

It has gone really fast.Despite her being grumpy sometimes,trying every trick in her extensive book on us to avoid doing what she is meant to,we all love her to bits [DH too].It took DD1 about 6 months to really get to grips with her,but all of a sudden it clicked and they have such fun together.When she took DD1 hunting for the first time,it was the best day of DD1's life.

She has given DD2 a huge amount of confidence,so much so that she'll happily ride anything now.She is infuriatingly jealous of any new pony and won't stand for them coming over to greet me.I tell her that it's a good job that I love her and would never sell her,because no one else would put up with her shenanigans.

it's nice to know the time and effort invested pays off, will never quite understand how quite so many people bought and sold our pony within a couple of weeks - although obviously glad they did (although has taken more than a year to get anywhere much )

Thanks for mentioning time and effort paying off Alameda.I needed reminding of that after DD2's new pony got rather fizzy with her last night and ended up dumping her.I don't enjoy the 'getting to know you' bit at all.

Your boy was very lucky to find you.

Congratualtions Mirage! I got busy about half way through the year and slightly lost track of what you and your DD's were upto but I remember all your early posts and have seen some of your more recent posts, the progress has been incredible! It's so fantastic that you've all had such an amazing year together.
