First lesson clothing panic

In a rush of eagerness, I booked my first riding lesson for tomorrow night, and am now hit with the reality of kitting myself out at lunchtime/after work today.

The school will provide a hat, and I can pick up a pair of leggings easily enough (apparently they will be fine for a first lesson), but what on earth can I do about my feet? They said a shoe with a small heel, but what does that actually look like? I can only visualise boots.

And where could I get something suitable in central London?

Oh please help me become one of you :)

Fabulously! (if fabulously correctly encompasses bobbly incompetence, a huge smile and a sore arse)

I am about to book myself a whole course of lessons now. And also to sign up for lots of horsey clothing catalogues.

really pleased for you :) (wonder how long it will be before you have a horse or pony on part loan from the riding school!)

Just wait for my long list of idiotic questions...
