I am thinking of trying DS2 on a little lead rein pony , have measured his head and he needs a 6 and a 1/4 size . Dont want to spend a fortune because he will grow and he may also decide to let little pony go back to her life of leisure ! So i thought i would check here first . You can pm me if you have one . Thank you Smile

If you can't pick one up, you might want to look at the JTE - we have one for visiting children, and its adjustable and only £30, so great value.

I'll have a look and see if we've got one in the shed of doom!

Any luck in the shed of doom mirage or are you trapped in there ?

Grin I fought my way to the back and there is one spare hat, that says size 57-I'll do some googling and see what that translates too.

It's a tiny expenditure considering a hat will protect your DS's head - get a new hat! Hat standards change all the time, you want the most up to date there is, second hand hats may have been compromised by a fall and will certainly have been compromised by sitting around in a shed for a few years.

I know , but he is two and a half , the pony he will be on is tiny , so he will no further off the ground than he is when on his slide , on lead rein , on grass. If after a couple of go's it looks like he is enjoying it , i will of course be more than happy to pay for a new hat and quite like the look of the adjustable ones .
