First show of the season cancelled [sad]

and no, we weren't going to Badminton!

Dd's been working so hard at her GCSE revision, and this weekend was going to be a weekend off for her to concentrate on the SHOW! She's been really looking forward to it, and it's been cancelled. I can see why, the ground would be completely impossible, but she's so disappointed.

That's a shame seeker, is there anything around in an indoor arena that you could g to instead? (never works out that way of course!)

Not near enough, sadly. The cancelled one was 5 minutes hack away!

Which show was it Seeker? Hopefully you'll have some other options soon.

We're going to BSPS Area 7 at Slapton on Sunday which will be indoors thank goodness. Planning to get they by 7am so we can work in indoors before the show starts. We were going to Great Ponton Show on Monday but that is already off and our other possiblity - Newbury on Monday - has also been cancelled already.

We're beginning to worry about South Suffolk next week due to the rain and the fact that the rings are newly grassed but it seems to be taking the rain OK at the moment.

Oh, it was just the local riding club show- but it's a big event round here!

Butkin I'm off to area 7 but as I have my my Ri ticket already I'm stewarding. What are you doing? Bury farm is a lovely place and area 7 have worked so hard trying to accomadate all te problems from cancelled shows. If your in ring 4 I will see you there.

Yes we're in Ring 4 Richperson... We're doing the RI M&M FR. I see that they have pushed back the start of that ring to 9.30. Is it indoors or out - conflicting reports...

Are you going to Rutland again this year Butkin? I saw the signs advertising it today,3rd June.

I've been told indoor so I hope it is. What's your pony called and I will keep an eye out. We bred a fr that went to hoys last year but dont think she is out this year.

Mirage - that's the plan. It closes next Saturday.

Richperson - we had the palomino sec B but having gone well in the go round he managed to get his tongue over the bit before he did his show and went badly. The judge obviously loved Dartmoors though so obviously up against it. Hope you didn't get too cold!
