I'm very proud of myself as today I cantered for the first time since my accident - and out hacking too, which has been the scariest thing for me.

I was like this . 'Normal' riding with one working arm is becoming a reality now

I have not beeen around here for long so dont know your history re the arm....... but sure sounds like quite an achievement. We can all do one hand when things going well / we choose .... but when we have to do it and its not something that we have been trained to do or is habitual it can be qutie a significant change !

Thanks all Now I just need to consolidate this confidence, ready for the better weather - the yard we are at has the most amazing hacking, helped by the fact that the owner is joint master of the hunt so has a lot of non bridlepath access.

For anyone wondering, 18 months ago I got thrown off, landed on my arm and smashed it very, very badly and had a lot of bone, muscle and nerve damage. Basically all that works is my thumb a bit.
